Kobe beef is one of the four varieties of Wagyu beef and comes from the Tajima strain of Japanese Black cattle, which is popular for its superior flavor. Kobe beef is a delicacy and highly praised for its tenderness and high intramuscular fat content, which gives it its marbled appearance.
Kobe beef is known for being tastier and healthier than any other beef because of its high concentration of monounsaturated fats and omega-3 content. We highly recommend using some trimmed fat from the Kobe beef to lubricate the pan and season the beef lightly before searing to capture the true taste of the best beef ever.
